A host of changes implemented and previewed this week: there’s a variety of new walls to let you build prisons, shops, and cages; a new scope with 4x magnification; optimisation, bug-fixes, and loads more. Plus there’s a preview of the new levelling system. It’s an exciting look at the future of Rust.
We’ve got atmospheric rain and new music to match. There’s new weapon attachments, we’ve fixed a number of exploits and animations, there’s a sneak peek at new building parts, and there’s a poll about admin abuse.
Higher player counts means more servers everywhere, and the dev team now hosting the Battle Royale mod, too. There’s also damage tweaks, player skin alterations, the first look at the new female player model in-game, and lots more.
The new year brings a fresh start for everyone in Rust. This update wipes the servers, including blueprints, and brings changes to aiming, world generation, stability, music, voice chat, and more.
Maurino added some holiday themed elements. At various points during the day and night, you’ll hear some jingle bells. Look outside and you’ll see some nice big gift boxes. Go ahead and smash them to retrieve a set of presents. If you want, you can unwrap them, or you can save them up to trade in for a larger one.
